Hey homies

I can get a 99€ 24 inch monitor full hd or i can get the same thing but with IPS and full hd for 119€

Worth or not worth, that is the question.

I wonder where the new misinformation comes from sometimes. Refresh rate is 60hz on all 100€ monitors but you find plenty of ips with high hz along with tn. Backlight bleed is not more common on ips but many people mistake ips glow for it. Backlight bleed should not happen unless it is faulty. On the other hand, ips glow is always there on low end ips. Ips does not mean better color. Cheap ips typically are the same color gamut and accuracy. Lag time is too small to be out of standard deviation if that is for input lag. But 5ms is response time and under what is needed for 60hz.

When comparing monitors, for the most part you can ignore panel type. I would not suggest ips because of the glow when many of the tn and ips of cheap...

Worth it. IPS usually have lower refresh rate but since this one has the same specs, go for it. You are getting everything as the TN(?) panel aka the 99€ one but with much vibrant colors. Expect back light bleed with an IPS display so make sure you can replace/return it.

Hope this helped :)

Yes, it is worth it. You will have better colors and larger viewing angles with an IPS. The lag time will be a little longer on an IPS panel, so you may want to check and see what it is rated. 5ms is good for an IPS.

There is some black light bleed with IPS, but the only time I can ever notice it is when there is a dark scene on a game.

When comparing monitors, for the most part you can ignore panel type. I would not suggest ips because of the glow when many of the tn and ips of cheap monitors are similar in all noticeable aspects. Look at the specs if you can't find pro reviews or at least amateur reviews.
