Is Ironside Computers legit?

Didn't know if anyone here had any dealings with Ironside computers before, there is little info about them, and very few reviews although most of them are positive.

Currently looking to have a PC custom made as I simply do not have the experience, knowhow, and most importantly time to build one myself, and was looking for a"reasonably priced" and reputable company to go through, and I have heard nothing but horror stories about Ibuypower.

Well I would prefer IBuyPowerPc. Depends on your budget but I'd rather go with them then someone else. Otherwise I'd look into just building your own computer

Yes I believe Ironside is reliable I have a friend that order a pc from there and he said everything was perfect when it arrived. I bought from ibuypower before and they are terrible. Their prices are all rip off and they wire management are terrible. They just push all the wires into a corner. This was when I became interested in pc gaming.

personally not recommend ibuypower, anywhere they don't list the make and model, would the cheapest crap you can find. And their building skill is substandard

A refirbished computer like a i5-2400 and pick the one in the standard micro-atx mini-tower.

-Pick out a lower wattage card like a GTX1050TI.

It's a case i am familiar with. Full length cards like the HD-4870 fit in this case. (255mm or 9.75 inches long) The ones larger like the triple fan GTX1070 Asus Strix might not fit. They use a standard atx power supply. It's a micro-atx tower.

Either pick out a lower wattage card like a GTX1060. Or replace the power supply and go with a faster GTX-1070.
(Most stores will also do a upgrade.)

I choose the exact same parts as the IBuyPower PC. If i couldnt find them then i put something similiar and around the same price. The IBuyPowerPc has the NZXT S340 Elite custom from them . Its around $100 so i added the H440 which is around the same price. Also a decent power supply. The one that the IBuyPower Pc has , is probably around $40-60 ....

I would purchase the parts, and maybe contact a local community college IT instructor or maybe even a high-school IT instructor and ask if they can have some students assemble the parts as a class project.

Why would you even think about running a GPU of that caliber on an OEM PSU? $410 GPU + $30 PSU = not a good combination.

There's zero prebuilts that you can buy that are any good. Cyberpower and IBUYPOWER generally skimp on critical components like PSUs, while prebuilt vendors like HP, Dell, etc load their operating systems with so much bloatware that it makes them near unusable until you remove it. I would get this:

It is a topic of much discussion. Regardless, changing this behavior is likely to not change (if at all) for some time to come due to other site (re)design priorities.

In the interim, we advise members as I did earlier to follow the previously stated BA guidelines.

When we find members who abuse this ability, we do engage them and have even sanctioned members for not adhering to the rules.
