Hi! I have a Ryzen 5 2600, and a 1080. A kid at my school wants to trade for a radeon 5700 xt. Is this a fair trade with the performance bottle necks?

What resolution are you planning?
Used 2600s are going for 100-150 bucks on ebay. So you would essentially be paying that for about a 15% increase in performance.

The OP already have the 2600. I don't think the trade include the CPU and the GPU. It's about the 1080 vs 5700XT.

If the trade include the CPU too that's not a good trade.

I took it as the r5+ the 1080 for the 5700XT, since its not an even performance comparison like you claim.
