I hae a fx 6300 + rx570 4gb,ddr3 8 gb 800 mhz dual channel, asus m5a78l-m lx3 . At my local pc repair shop they have a r3 1300x , ddr4 16gb 2666mhz dual channel memory, and a b450 board that i dont remember. I can get them for 150 usd. The repair shop owner is good friend with my dad so he is trusted. Is it worth it?

Solution
Are the CPU and mobo used? The Ryzen 3 1300X is fairly old at this point (5 years), so it's going to be hard to compare it to components in the "new" market.

Is it an improvement over your current system? Sure
I'd still recommend spending a bit more for longevity if you can.

Maybe see what the exact brand/model of the mobo is and the MHz of the RAM and see what he'd want for just those two? We could see what other CPUs the mobo is capable of running. B450 boards should be able to run a Ryzen 5000 series CPU.

that depends on what else you can get for similar money. that is an old cpu already and though better than what you have, there might be better you can do.

but that depends on your local market and/or what you can get online.
there arent really many cpu s on my market. everybody sells whole pcs. This cpu is only a entry cpu for am4 cpus.

FX systems are all but obsolete.
Seems like a good deal to me.
R3-1300x is about 50% more capable.

yah if you got nothing else as an option, then i'd go for it as well. good news is there is a ton of newer ryzen chips you can put on that mobo down the line as they become available. so it is a good start for a few years worth of use for sure.

That should be a significant upgrade for a start, and for the price, nothing to complain about. You can switch out CPU and RAM later down the line, too, so that's a plus. The board is reasonably new as well, so it work for a while. Personally, I would do it.

150 dollars more for the parts you send is almost impossible to gather for me. i will stick to the 1300x and that 2666 mhz ram as i seen everyone says thats it is a good upgrade from my current pc. Thanks!
