My friend wants a gaming pc, i am building him one, is an EVGA Nvidia Geforce 610 GT an okay graphics card for gaming?

Anything below a 7750 or 650ti at 1080p, or a 6670 at resolutions below that, is usually a complete waste of time. A 610 is completely worthless, its probably worse than most laptop graphics.

The hd 6670 is too much its 80, Dabs stock very few Amd Graphics cards

you need to list all the components and someone will show you where to save money.
50$ on the gpu isn't enough for a gaming computer.

If you built around an i3 and some other budget components, you should get a decent built for faily cheap.

Or drop in an a10 apu they will game half decent on medium settings. Will save some money and should perform better than a 610.

Ok sorry i didnt say, €50 is the budget, And due to dabs stocks being crap i only have a limited choice, There are only Gt610, Gt630, 6450, 6570, Uh games like fallout, Minecraft, Arma 2, Gta 4, Sr2, He just wants soemthing that can play most games on medium settings

That looks to run up around 208 or so. My wife's laptop is running the a10 and runs games just fine. Not high settings mind you but higher than you'd get with that 610. Either that or get this:

A little slower on the graphics and cpu side but still enough. Otherwise to get to higher settings you'd need a half decent discrete card up in around what was already mentioned by the others.

Ah ok then that card would force you to drop a lot of details to game with. Would probably be better to find a previous generation card and get some better specs.
