Is it a usb 2.0 ethernet adapter connection enough for my 100MB internet for Pfsense?

I'm thinking on building a PFsense machine on old laptop is a usb 2.0 ethernet adapter enough for my 100MB Connection?
Should i get an ssd for caching for this build?
If so how much is enough?
60Gb, 120Gb, 250Gb - SSD?

Usb 2.0 only does about 50-60 MB/sec but will do 500 megabits per second
