Is it a xp problem? Please help!

why is my computer lagging freezing it is driving me nuts it's been reloaded two times in the last month. I use windows xp because it's the only thing i have. can this be causeing the problem. I can't view multiple windows or it freezes and says internet explorer not responding.

You may need to backup your data and do a clean install or at least a clean up program like Glary Utilities.

maybe u have to uncheck,file n printer sharing (this is two),allow remote assistance on..do not allow remote..delete C$ fr the command prompt.net share C$ C:\ /delete
