Is it bad to do this? HELP

So Im currently building a pc And I have every single part but the graphics card.
The current pc has an amd fx 8350
600w power supply, 8 Gb ram etc and the card is on its way and will be here in three weeks. I have an old graphics card lying around and I wanna KNOW THIS:
Can I use my old graphics card with this build until my new gtx 970 comes in? Will it mess with my other components or harm the pc overall?

You are ok however you need adapters for video output.

im guessing not. its just a gpu even if it is old. i would worry if i use a old power supply on new components or if i use a generic non rated powersupply.
