Is it better to have a wallmounted pc rather than a pc in a case?

Hello guys ,

I am thinking to start a wallmounted pc project but I don't know if it's worth it .
I am thinking that the dust will be much worse than the components being in a pc case.
I am not going for a water cooled build.

Any thoughts?

Yes dust will be worse since just about all PCs these days have filters, although being up high may help. They do have wall mounted cases, here's one from Thermallake https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133283

If you want to do it yourself you could always build a case with wood and glass front and DIY it.

Yeah I was thinking to buy a wood panel and to have some plexiglas to screw the components on and have it all not covered , but I think that would not be so great .
