Yes. It will expand the lifetime of your machine. If you don't need to have it on when you go to bed, you just turn it off. Leaving your PC or laptop always on isn't a bad thing per say but you save the life of your screen, battery, mechanical components, etc. over time.

yeah its better to turn it off if you will not use it for while if leave it on all the time overheating will happen

Sorry I thought that computers get higher lifespan if they are kept on all the time since everytime they get turned on the cpu overheats hugely and the parts wear out. This is wrong then?

but also when its left on all the time, so what is better choice?
I use my laptop 10 hours a day non-stop but not at night.
