I got a msi n760 hawk edition.
From last few days ive been noticing drop in performance and i looked at msi ab and it showed temperature at 98c. After that i removed my gpu to check if there are any physical damages appearing on body.
And i found this

Those solder parts looks kind of heated up and burnt.

My question is , cN thst thing be repaired anyhow ? And bring back gpu to its normal stage or not overheating ? I already applied for rma. I hope its not fixable electrically by doing some new solder or something because i want a new card in replacement as if they fix it it wont run long time and my warranty ends in few months.

Solution
An RMA is about all you can do at this point.

In order to run that hot, the card has to be working pretty hard or wasting power in some way.
If you are talking about the empty places for capacitors, those are not an issue since the card never had any in that location. Many devices have places for parts that can be used on various models, but in your case, I do no believe you ever had those 2 capacitors.

The card was most likely reflow(or similar. Some parts[through hole stuff] will be wave soldered as well I would guess.) soldered. This is done at pretty high temperatures. They use a paste to help the solder stick and it leaves a residue that is not always cleaned(most of them are safe to leave even if they look dirty). If they use the wrong soldering paste and do not clean it, it could damage the board over time(trust me, they do not do that).

So your card is overheating, but it may not be anything to do with what you see on the back.

Can you confirm the fans are running properly and the heatsink is not full of dust?

Yeah i cleaned my gpu after i got to know its over heating. Both fans are running at full throttle.
Still it reaches 98. Can that be some type of internal gpu fault for generating that much heat rapidly ? Soon as my gpu goes under load , temprature increases by 10c in 5 seconds and in no time its at 98c. Thats totally abnormal.

That is certainly hot fast.

When you cleaned it, did you remove the cooler? If you did, you will need to replace the thermal paste after cleaning it all off the core and heatsink. Without cleaning and using new paste, the system may run hot like you are seeing.

Please let us know if you are unsure about the thermal paste application.

Ok, well unless something was wrong with the stock paste, cleaning should have been enough.

I guess the RMA may be the only option you have.

You can use a program like GPU-Z to ensure the card voltage is not too high, but it should never be an issue as long as you are not overclocking.

Cooling equipment is not an issue i think because i sent my card to replace fans a month ago and they serviced it already.
Problem is something inside the gpu or some device on pcb which controls temp and its not working.
