[SOLVED] Is it compatible?

Hi,
I've an Asus z170-A MB

and i want to connect an old 32 GB M2 drive which has a B&M key, so i can extract an important word document. I cannot make the MB recognize the M2 drive.
it compatible with the MB?
MB has an M key slot and the M2 drive has a B&M key.

Please help.

If an M.2 SSD is B AND M keyed it means it should work in either a B OR M keyed M.2 slot so that is not what is stopping it from being recognized.

Have you tried updating the MB BIOS to the latest?

Yes. I have the latest. It must be some kind of BIOS setting..

Make sure that you don't have any SATA drives plugged in. On many motherboards, you can't use both the M.2 AND first or second SATA port, at the same time.

Just for the record. I changed a setting in the BIOS and now it works flawlessly. Something about M2 from Sata to M2.
