Is a ( corsair vs 550 silver 80 plus ) enough for an i5 8600k and rtx 2060 and if i overclock the cpu can it still support?

Do you already have that PSU? That's a very cheap power supply to pair with a nice mid-range setup like that.

*Update: It's not a terrible power supply, but I probably wouldn't overclock with it.

Yes, it's not a terrible power supply. It's also not the best, so as I said before I wouldn't overclock the CPU much if at all. But that PSU will power that setup.

It's not really about the wattage as much as it's about the quality of the PSU. A high quality 550W is enough, but 650W is more comfortable.

If you were to upgrade the PSU, here are a few models to look at:

Corsair TX650M
Corsair RM650x
EVGA 650 G2
EVGA 650 G3
SeaSonic FOCUS 650
SeaSonic FOCUS Plus 650
SeaSonic PRIME 650


Now, all of those power supplies are good enough that a 550W unit would still be enough for your system. 650W just gives you room for upgrades.

PSU pricing is high right now. Seems like $69 was regular price for that at one time. Also, rebates aren't really guaranteed.

Well, if you can find something that good at $70 without a rebate, go for it. I don't see anything right now.
