Hi,

I recently purchased HP Z820 Workstation. I searched various websites for a good graphics card and found a card too i.e. Gigabyte Geforce Gtx 1080 Ti Gaming Oc 11GB Graphic Cards N108Tgamingoc-11Gd on amazon.

Will it solve for my workstation like heat problem, cooling problem ?

Will it fit properly on my workstation ?

Any help will be appreciate.

Thanks.

No modern GPUs are very efficient. One GPU isn't going to produce enough heat to cause a problem.

There are 2x GPU zone cooling fans in there.

Thanks for replying..

I agree with first one. But it comes with 6 fans, which work is to cool memory module and processor.

There is no such thing which helps to cool graphics card.

Thanks.

Workstations in general, and 2 CPU versions like that are designed to be run hard and long with dual GPUs and anything else that can fit in there. As long as the PSU has the right PCIe power cables you should be good. 2x 6 pin adapted to single 8 pin is OK. But 6 pin to 8 pin adapters that work OK in after market PSUs don't work as well on the multi-rail PSUs that workstations use.
It's a proven upgrade here.

Might consider checking on HPpart surfer about the power supply. HP workstations are configured to order means the power supply included in the box you have may not have the capacity or cable to support the vid card.

Yes, it has a 1125 watt PSU.

Do you think Gigabyte Geforce Gtx 1080 Ti Gaming Oc 11GB Graphic Card will produce enough heat issue that will shut down the workstation instantly ?

Thanks.
