I changed the psu to a Corsair CX750M 750W 80plus bronze the manufacturer is channel well do you think is fine? Here is a post from someone who knows a lot more about power supplies than I do.
Coolermaster is mentioned near the end.
Long story short.....I would look at something else.
I think it's a better choice. From a lot I have read....the new CX series is pretty good. There was a green label CX series years ago....that was of lower quality.....but I've read the newer gray label is much better.I changed the psu to a Corsair CX750M 750W 80plus bronze the manufacturer is channel well do you think is fine?
I think either of those CX/TX are good choices. Is there a problem using a higher wattage than recommended?
I think I'll stick with the 850W one for future upgrades and i'ts a better choiceI think either of those CX/TX are good choices.
As far as a higher wattage.
It's never a problem to use higher wattage.
Personally I think it's better for two reasons.
One....you have overhead in case you want to add something.
Two....a higher wattage unit will generally run cooler with the load being equal and "cooler" results in longer component life.
Just to give you an idea....I'm running an RMx 750 on a system that could get away with a 600 watt PSU.....and I'm running an RMx 1000 on a system that could get away with a 750 watt PSU.I think I'll stick with the 850W one for future upgrades and i'ts a better choice
