Is it harmful to the computer to play games at low fps ?

Check the temps of your graphics card and CPU. If its above 80 for GPU and above 70 for CPU then yes, it is harmful!

It can cause a sort of dizziness and feeling like you want to puke. If the computer is not overheating, it wont damage the computer .

Most of the harm will be to your wallet.
New games that came out with fancier graphics and then run under 40fps have cost me many, way too many $1,000's since the K6-2-200 and 3dfx voodoo and matrox3d was new. I have a large box full of parts that at one time were "state of the art". lol.

Try playing at 720p instead of 1080p, if your monitor is something else, pick a resolution that is about 2/3.
The 2d chip in the monitor or tv will upscale it to a certain point, this can blur text and sharp lines however as it guesses some of picture.

The xbox 360 and most consoles cheat this way, they render at about 2/3 resolution and then let the 2d chips do the rest.

Playing a game has continues load on your CPU and GPU!

I would guess he's not playing the game 24/7. Or do you mean you should't play games as they put load on your components?? Not sure what point you are trying to make here. The temps are dependent on model of cpu/gpu which the OP hasn't given? Most will throttle performance to avoid damage anyway.

You shouldn't play games that you know your components can't handle, cause it's over stressing them! If every time i play the same game for hours with minimal fps, the constant heat and push from the component will destroy them over time!

The point is you have no idea what hardware he is using. Where the problem is or even what temps he is hitting. Blanket statements aren't helpful to the OP especially when they aren't very well thought out. If the GPU/CPU is throttling due to high temps then there is a cooling issue, if its throttling then there wont be any damage, which is the whole point of it. It will just be a below par experience. Suggesting load is harmful is utter nonsense. Excessive temps CAN be harmful but as we can see there is no evidence of that in this post. You don't buy hardware because of it's performance at idle do you? Maybe you do and keep it in the fridge just to be sure!

I'm so sorry for responding late, but I fogot my password............. ......... ..
