Hey, I want to access my PC from another PC when I'm not home. But I don't want to keep it open always either.

So while I was searching for it I found some people solved this by buying "Smart Wifi Outlet" and setting "Restore after AC Power Loss" as on. So as I understand this setting leads the PC to boot when there's power on the outlet. Since I can control the outlet I can open and shut PC remotely which sounds perfect. However, my concern is Isn't it harmful for PC? Because it acts like I'm plugging and unplugging the PC and it almost same like what happens when a power outage happens.

Since I harmed, and burned some components before the power outage I want to be sure before following this route. Looking forward to the comments. Thanks.

So I was right about my concerns... So is there any other solution for my case then?
If that happens just occasionally with clean return of power it's fairly safe. problem is that it rarely happens with repeated cuts of power which can corrupt OS with resets while booting. Another thing may happen with power returning. Voltage may go up for short time and that can damage components if PSU can't regulate it.
Much safer is if you have proper battery backup and can introduce delay for a restart until power stabilizes.
