Hello!

Right, I will explain my concern, I build my PC yesterday everything works great, but I am recycling some on my old parts, just the case and the power supply. The case however it is a bit small, it just is big enough for the GPU, but it is sort of wedged between the drive cages and the back of the case. The temps are fine, and I am really deciding if I need a new case and it is damaging my 970?

I can't deside what to do, to get a new case or will it be fine in my previous one.

Thanks for helping me and please ask any questions.

Thank you.

(Sorry if it doesn't work, I will try something else)
Here it is!

Hope you can see what I mean, I am just wondering if some pressure is being caused which is bad for my card.

Thanks for helping me, I really appreciate it :)

OK, I got that picture:). Maybe next time don't post to the public gallery (sorry, I would have made that clear before). It looks fine as long as nothing is being strained (check the PCI-E connector) or airflow is being restricted. Regardless, I would change the case when you can as it's not "good practice" to do this.

"Good practice" as in a good idea or the de facto standards :)

Nothing that you can do now that will really work but you should be OK as long as you don't kick the PC or anything like that 😀

I can't really see from the picture but it looks fine to me. Did you have to bend or force your card to fit into the PCIe slot? So long as you're not flexing the card it's fine. Even if you are flexing it, the back plate should hold the card together pretty well.

I wasn't flexing it, but I did use a bit of force, only like pushing with 2 thumbs 😀

So I shouldn't of damaged it, it is a solid card. I only damaged the paint on the protector plate on the side, I think it is there just tot protect it so it should be fine.

Thanks guys :)
