My CPU is i9-12900KF

My graphic card is GIGABYTE Radeon RX 6500 XT GAMING OC 4G

And these are my other components:
  • Crucial P5 2TB PCIe M.2
  • ASRock Z690 Phantom Gaming 4/D5 INTEL
  • TWO Crucial DDR5 4800_32G
  • Cougar Gex 1050 power supply
  • Cooler Master MasterBox CM694 Case
I only belatedly learned that the "F" in the name "i9-12900KF" means it does not have internal [integrated] graphics only after installing this CPU. So it doesn't work if I connect my monitor to the HDMI slot in the back of the case.

So far, I have been just connecting my only monitor to the HDMI slot of my graphic card.

But this graphic card seems to have only one outlet for HDMI.

So then with i9-12900KF, is it just impossible to have dual monitor?

You can have as many monitors as your discrete graphics card supports.
GIGABYTE Radeon RX 6500 XT GAMING OC 4G - supports 2 monitors.
One monitor via HDMI output, second monitor via DisplayPort output.

If your monitor doesn't support DisplayPort connection, then you can use DisplayPort to HDMI adapter.

I think you meant to say the motherboard's display output ports, since the discrete GPU's output ports are also located at the back of your case.

You didn't mention the makes and models of the two displays you're working with. Is this the GPU you're working with?

So then with i9-12900KF, is it just impossible to have dual monitor?
You're not getting any display out from the motherboard, unless you decide to swap the KF SKU with a K SKU processor, since that's the one that has an iGPU.

I bought Displayport connector but there are two problems.

Monitor1: Connected by HDMI to PC
Monitor2: Connected by Displayport to PC

When I boot, only monitor2 is recognized. Even if I click "Detect" at the "Multiple Displays" Settings, it says "Didn't detect another display"

I tried connecting Monitor1 and Monitor2 through displayport. Didn't work. In this case, monitor2 starts to show "No Signal Displayport. Check the cable connection and the settings of the source device"

Another problem is that monitor2 which is connected through displayport shows obvious display problems. Here is the video:
Weird screen display

Bad cable/ bad adapter/bad connection.

What are model names of your monitors?

Are you using DisplayPort-DisplayPort cable? Or DisplayPort-HDMI adapter?
If you're using an adapter, can you provide link to the product, you're using?

Both my monitors are Samsung LF22T450F

I am using DisplayPort-DisplayPort cable.

The screen is like this if I connect to either monitor1 or monitor2.

+ I just tested connecting this DP-DP cable to another computer and another monitor. It does not cause the blinking screen error. I can't test the dual monitor thing using this though.

Perhaps the graphic card in my first computer can't really accept DP-DP cable?

Try turning off freesync.
Check cable connections. Might not be connected properly. Try a different cable

I fixed the broken screen problem by buying a DP-HDMI. (one end is DP, another end is HDMI). I plug DP to the graphic card, and plug HDMI to the monitor.

This didn't fix the "dual monitor failing" problem. But then I installed the AMD Radeon graphic card driver. Then it worked! Thank you again!
