I felt HL1 definitely had it's 'sections' too. Some weren't quite as
clearly differentiated as in HL2. But Xan was

Thing is, in HL1 you
never really got out of Black Mesa premises until going to Xan. But
I see your point about the divisions in HL2. Makes it seem like it's
some 4 different gametypes. We should have had things where use of the
vehicles could overlap. And why aren't we advanced enough to go from
one end of the game world to the other at will? You can't do it though.
