Is it modem necessary to go wireless

Hello,
iam using DSl connection...and trying to go wireless by using belkin router..but it is unsuceesfull....is it necessary to connect router in between dsl line and router

Does the wireless router have a DSL interface -- you know, like a socket which goes to the phone line. If so you should be able to dump the existing router and modem.

If it's simply a router with an ethernet input then it should plug straight into the modem in place of the existing router.
