Hey.
Yesterday I left my computer in power saving mode over the night, in the morning I tried to turn in back on. The pc wurred into life but the monitor was black.
I tested the monitor with my laptop and the monitor worked fine.
I unplugged my hard drive and tried booting it again. I got into BIOS. I turned off the computer, plugged in the hard drive again and booted, I got the same issue again.

Do you guys think it's my hard drive that is the issue here? It's quite, like at least 7 years old.

Thanks

I don't think so, if it was you would get a message saying the boot device wasn't found.
Since that isn't the case, this thread is being moved to SYSTEMS.
Thank you.

ps - In the bios, try disabling Fastboot, if you have the option.
Also, list the various parts of your PC with Make and Model#'s please. Including the PSU.

Ah okay. Well in bios, the hard drive is found, however when trying to boot the computer with the selected hard drive, i get the black screen. If I try to boot it with anything other than the hard drive, it just says there is no media etc.

I tried disabling fast boot, did not help
