Is it necessary to format the partition after being deleted?

I want to know. While installing Windows, when you delete a partition and create a new one in the unallocated space, is it necessary to format the partition after, before installing windows, or it doesn't matter because the partition delete will erase the data anyway? That's my question. Thanks

No it doesn't really matter. Windows will format the partition or drive automatically when it installs windows. If there is extra it is actually best to partition it after windows has been installed.
If you have a 1TB drive. And say you only want 500GB. you go and make a new partition for 500GB and then you have a 500GB unallocated for other use. It is best to NOT format that second space or create a partition until after you install windows. Then go to disk management and make a new partition.

If all you are doing is installing windows on a whole drive, just delete all partition, select the full unallocated space and just click next. There is no need to create a partition and then format as windows does all that if you are installing to a whole drive.
