Is it necessary to install monitor driver?

Hey guys i have a LG monitor and in the box with that monitor i get a CD (i think its monitor driver) so do i really need to install it and will it make any difference??

since 2000, i never installed such driver

take the cd as a coaster, a nice lg branded coaster

the cd is delivered in case you use a old windows and the plug and play drier doesn't work properly and you don't have internet to download the file, other than that is never used

if you ever need a tool for it, that might be on the cd, surely will be a newer version on lg support site when/if you need it

Just plug in the monitor and try it. If it works without problems, then no you don't need to install a driver. But if Windows has problems - doesn't offer the right display resolution, or the refresh rate is wrong - then you can try installing the driver.
