Is it necessary to install monitor drivers?

I have BENQ GL2450 monitor, i use it on digital dvi cable, everything works perfect, i have latest amd gpu drivers, now I've noticed that i have BenQ - Display - BenQ GL2450 (Digital) in Windows Update, I don't know what is the purpose of that driver and do I need to install it?

remember that win update gives new drivers for components of a system regularly. These updates of existing driver are there for a reason and even though u might not directly see their benefits but still they help. So u can download and install this driver.

I agree with nana99 to a certain extent but don't temp to fix something that isn't broken.

Shouldn't hurt to try though but if your monitor is working fine and is performing optimally then i wouldn't bother.
