Question Is it normal for the bios setting screen to completely freeze when you turn off X-AMP or any other type of overclocking?

My bios setting screen froze after I tried to turn off A-XMP. I turned off my PC by holding off the power button and then turn it on and The change was made successfully and everything seems to be running correctly, but I just think it's weird that this happened. Is this something to be concerned about? I've been having a lot of strange occurrences with this motherboard that I never had when using my older motherboard on my old PC. That's why I'm asking. Some people mention that this could be a RAM issue, which is why I wanted to test out my RAM kit using MemTest 86. Could all the issues I'm facing be related to a RAM issue? In case you're wondering the RAM I am using is this,

CORSAIR Vengeance DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL30 Intel XMP iCUE Compatible Computer Memory - Black (CMK32GX5M2B6000C30)

My motherboard is the msi pro b650m-a wifi

I'll add further contacts and say that the freezing only occurs if I turn off A-XMP. If I turn it on the PC will restart and boot as normal. The problem only occurs when I turn off AXNP in which the screen will freeze and I will be forced to hold down the power button to turn off the PC.

Hello,

I believe that it was caused by the DDR5 RAM, as it can be quite unstable when messing with its settings. Therefore, a sudden change in RAM speed could cause it to freeze.

However, this is normal for DDR5, so there is nothing to worry about, as long as it only needed a reboot and the PC does not freeze randomly.

If you want, you could try solving it by updating to the latest BIOS for your motherboard, as the manufacturers are constantly rolling out updates to try to fix these issues. Not 100% sure whether this will fix your issue, but it should be worth a try.

Hope this helps.
