Is it normal that the GPU gets hot quickly?

Hey!

a year ago I had G1 GTX980 TI and I was very happy with it! but unfortunately, a power failure happened and rip my GPU (after the third power cut) also my PSU (FSP 650W) has died
(He continued to work but made a noise and did not work properly)

So I used the manufacturer warranty that I had left and got Asus Matrix GTX980 TI / and stupid PSU ( crosier cx m650 what work so bad and made so much noise like this one "here" and no... it didn't work the solution, later this year I switch it for "SeaSonic 620W Bronze", (language) amazing !)

I know it's normal temperatures according to nVidia (76-72 C) (while gaming)
but why he gets hot too quickly? I mean after 5 min 😵
In the first couple of months I had it, he did not make any noise or got warm at all
(he would reach 65 temperature and stop there) (while gaming)

I know I had nothing to worry about but why is it suddenly get hot?
the only thing I changed was maybe a driver but I do not remember when it started to happen and before I update I always check Reddit to see if there's the problem with my card with a new driver.
I was advised to use GPU tweak 2, but I believe the PC knows what is better for him right?

Depends on the workload put on it. Ultimately, it's the long-term temperatures that matter most.

If you're racing up to 70'C and staying there, then that's fine. If it continues to climb over time, that could be problematic (won't turbo etc).

Depending on the specific card, it's vBIOS/Firmware may be configured at stock, to not start the fans until X'C (usually 40-50'C IIRC)
You could manually configure a fan curve, starting with low fan speeds at nominal temperatures (say 30-40'C) and increase from there.

I'd like to ask you a question first, what basis do you have that a GPU WON'T get hot and takes more than 5 minutes to get to max temp? Just wondering, cause all CPUs and GPUs get up to their max temp very quickly, with air cooler it is incredibly fast, with liquid it takes a bit more time but no where near 5 minutes.

I'm jealous of your temps, i'm at 80C with my 1080.

I'm afraid to make mistakes there and then the GPU will warm up twice as usual XD

my old GPU G1 GTX980TI never past 65-67 temperature

How did a manufacturer warranty on a G1 (Gigabyte) get you a Matrix (Asus) card exactly?

As for making mistakes, using something like MSI Afterburner/RivaTuner, you can't really go wrong.
You'll see the stock profile, and can increase from there. If you drop fan speeds, temps increase quicker and clocks will throttle to keep it within a safe operating temperature.

Middle East - If I'm not mistaken it happened in winter too, but I always play when the air conditioner is on if it counts

sorry I meant the store warranty

If you have a kind of dashboard that reports on the GPU, take a look at fan speeds. It could be that your GPU has automatically/accidentally switched profiles, and now waits a few minutes before kicking fan speeds up. It's also possible that one of your case fans isn't working, so I'd check those as well.

Other factors could be ambient temperature, and/or dust that's collected in your case. See if your machine needs to be cleaned. Aside from that, there's really not much else physically that could be wrong [and that could be fixed so easily].

Another possibility though is that you've acquired some kind of background process/application that's running without your knowledge, and is causing your GPU to take a heavier load that much faster. Check what kind of processes you have going on while also paying attention to temps, and see if there's a correlation between some process and your GPU temp.

I worry about the hygiene of the PC more than mine XD

I don't think there is dust inside, I use air blower to clean the PC, and I'm using a compressed air duster too
about the fans, I also suspect them, I will soon replace them with BL070 SILENT WINGS 3, and I will buy 4X
(I have 2 stock fan that came with PC case)

and I'm not see anything suspicious on process/application (games from Steam/Gog - movies/series from Netflix, music from Spotify and software only open source but sometimes I do a scan with Malwarebytes)

and where can I find or see the dashboard ?
