Is it ok if I put a 15.6 inch laptop in a 17.3 inch laptop bag?

I am wondering if it will be ok if I put my acer aspire e5 575g 55kk 15.6 inch laptop in an alienware vindicator 17 briefcase because I can't find an alienware vindicator briefcase for 15.6 inch laptops 🙁
If you can find it in that size I would really appreciate it! What are your thoughts about putting a 15.6 inc laptop in 17.3 inch laptop bag?

Hey there.

I don't see why not. I used to have a backpack for 15.6" laptops which I've used for my 17" laptop and it was still fine.
The bag being bigger in this case is even better if you don't mind it.

That would be quite alright.

I wouldn't go to the expense of buying a smaller laptop carry-case if I already had a large one, in fact larger is better - - more room to pack other laptop-related stuff without the carry-case looking ridiculously over-stuffed and not properly fastened.
