Just bought a Zotac GTX 560 Ti on eBay and noticed the idle temperature was rather high. I was getting 55C idle, and it rapidly rose up to 75C-80C in gaming. I really would like to have this card for a long time, it will be at least several years before I will upgrade. So I downloaded MSI Afterburner and I changed the fan settings. I changed 44C to 65%, 55C to 75%, and 70C to 85%. Now my fan is much louder (doesn't really annoy me though), and my gaming temps reach a maxium of 60C.
My question is though, is it bad for GPU to keep the fan so high even at idle temperatures? My goal is to make my GPU last as long as possible.
