I just build my first PC for gaming yesterday and I decided to take gtx 1070 with 550w psu. The thing is my psu doesn't have 8 pin connector, So I decided to put dual molex to 8 pin adapter since it comes with my gpu. Is it safe to do that?

My Specs:
processor: Intel i5 7500
mobo: Biostar b250gt3
ram: Geil evo x 8gb single channel
gpu: Galax GTX 1070 EX
psu: Gamemax Power ATX GP-Series Plus 80+ Bronze

^ Absolutely agree. Even if that power supply had the required cables you shouldn't use it. Not having the required cables makes it even worse. Gamemax is low end junk.

If the PSU does not have the proper cable and connection for your GPU, all the adapters in the world won't make it right.

In addition...I probably wouldn't trust a "Gamemax" to power a desklamp, much less a GPU.
If you can send it back, do that and get something reliable.

I just ask the seller whether I can return the psu or not and still waiting for their reply, but I'm still gonna change the psu anyway is Seasonic S12II-620 good enough?
