I'm planning to use :

cpu i5 8400
motherboard MSI B360 Bazooka
memory 8GB DDR4 2666
gpu GTX 1060

with

monitor LS22c350hs/xp monitor (1920 x 1080, 5ms response time, with HDMI port).
http://www.pcdata.ph/info.php?catId=83&id=1334 <- Samsung doesn't list it anymore at their site.

My question is should I get a gtx 1060 6GB or 3GB? Will a gtx 1060 6GB be too much for the for my old monitor that I'm just wasting the graphic card's capability? I can lower system specs, and save money, but I'm keeping the monitor.

I'll be using this PC for games like World of Warcraft, LoL, DoTA 2, CS:GO, PUBG and Fortnite.

Thank you for your time.

Solution
If you can afford the 6gb version then that's what I'd go with due to the higher vram and increased cuda cores which does make it perform a bit better over the 3gb version.

The 6gb version isn't a waste @1080P, newer games will have a higher vram requirement and if you mod any of your games it may use more then 3gb.

Prices do seem to be going down so I might be able to afford a non-OC gtx 1060 6GB from Inno3D. I'll get a quote from the store soon. Thanks for your reply.
