Is it okay for GPU to touch part of the case ?

Hi, i just bought a new "used" gpu gtx 760 palit edition , everything is pretty tight when i put it in m but it kinda fits , the metal thing with the fans touches one annoying part of the case , is that okay , or should i cut that annoying thing somehow ?

I think its for HDD's but also its unnecessary

The metal part of the gpu touches it a little .

You didn't put the right GPU in. It's still the old one.
I'd like to see, how new GPU touches obstructive metal element.
