Hi, i have Sapphire R9 280X Tri-X OC GPU. The fans of the GPU are failing or dead. I've undervolted and underclocked the GPU prevent overheating. But, even after that GPU runs at 90-95 degrees.

Should i stop playing games until i get replacement fans?

Solution
The fan on the engine of my car is broke and let's the engine constantly overheat. Is it safe to drive in heavy stop and go traffic?

Fix the fans. Then game. Not the other way around.
At those temps you are at the point of thermal throttling which will result in poor performance. As far as continued use with a bad cooling fan the system in theory should throttle itself as it hits it's thermal ceiling, but there are no guarantees. Personally with the current state of GPU prices and availability I would just get the fans in asap and hold off until they arrive. The worst thing you do is pop a chip, but that is really expensive right now.

The fact that the cooling system is degraded is enough to go "yes, stop playing games until it gets fixed"
Thanks.

Thanks, that's thing that i'm afraid of: "pop the chip". I couldn't afford new one as they're too expensive right now. I'll get new fans.

Yeah i would not use that card to play games with until as you said, you get your fans fixed. You technically can still do it, but it's counterproductive. Besides you are def thermal throttling it so you're not even getting the performances you want.
