[SOLVED] Is it okay to buy 2400mhz ram since your system has 2666mhz ram but your processor slows it down to 2400mhz?

I recently bought a i3 9100f 8gb ddr4 2666mhz ram build
I would like to buy an extra 8gb stick for multitasking but i have come to a little problem
I recently found out that despite having 2666mhz ram my system uses only 2400mhz ram since my i3 doesnt support 2666mhz
My question is, is it okay if i buy a 8gb 2400mhz stick since my system only uses 2400mhz despite my system already having 2666mhz ram installed?

no problem. they'll just run at the slower speed. otherwise it won't cause any issues due to speed difference.
