Question Is it okay to cool of my PC with a fan?

My PC doesn't really overheat but sometimes I see my GPU Temperature going up to 57 Degrees Celsius which I know is completely normal but I just want to keep it below 50 so I use an electric fan to cool it off (by fan I open my PC's case and just direct the electric fan too it and I noticed huge temperature drop). Now my question is, is it ok and is it safe to continue?

It's OK but not practical.

The performance difference between 57 and and "below 50" is exactly zero.

Modern chips have a per core "throttling" mechanism that turns up and down the clock frequency per demand and thermal considerations. The thermal ceiling for most chips today is 80 degrees Celsius. So until you are hitting that temp, or close there is no real performance gain. 50 degrees running hard is a good temp if you are holding that. It isn't bad for it to run cooler, just doesn't gain you anything. If popping the lid is causing a "huge" temperature difference you may do well to add additional chassis fans. On a given case where you are able to add multiples I suggest 2-3 front fans blowing into the case (lower preferable), at least one high on the back near the cpu exhausting and any water radiators mounted on the top exhausting in a manner where they are not spinning air back down (I usually have to do a little bit of tape work to close some holes when there is a cover on the top.). It is a manner of preference but I like to try to positive pressure my case to make the exhaust fans and GPU cooling solution more effective so more input than output and case filters are nice if you have them. Popping the lid works, but the aesthetics and practicality of things like kids and pets getting into potentially high voltage doesn't work for everyone.
