is it okay to downclock my 1600 mhz ram to 1333mhz to match with my other 1333 mhz ram?

My newly bought ram is 1600 mhz, but the link says my mobo can support 1333mhz.Will be all right if i downclock it to 1333mhz in bios?
i dont wanna mess with my computer and want to play it safe.I also have another 1333mhz 2 gb ram on the other slot.
if changing the mhz in bios dont cause problem can somebody help me to change it?

Does not damage anything. The RAM can be down-clocked with out issue.

However, getting different sticks of RAM to work together can be a pain in the bum. You may have to swap locations a few times to get it working.

That's fine. It will switch the RAM to that speed automatically then. No worries.

Won't cause any damage, but you'd be better off getting the same kit of RAM due to compatibility issues which can arise with the memory controller.

These settings will be in the BIOS. Getting there will depend on what kind of motherboard you have. It's usually the DELETE key or F1

You can get all of the information from the RAM itself. It will have a sticker with this information on it. All values should be set automatically either way.
