I wanted to fully turn off my computer since I am going to be away for a while. I thought leaving the PSU on and plugged in would be fine. However when i clicked on my mouse the LED of my mouse lit up.

Because of this i thought my computer was still on. I decided to switch the PSU off and see if the LED of my mouse will turn off. When i saw it was still on, i tried turning on my computer while the PSU was switched off (still plugged in). It booted only for half a second and then turned off, including the mouse.

Can i leave my PC at this state? I’m already out of my house so i am kind of worried.

Sure, and it's definitely not a bad idea to do this when away for a few days.

An additional wise precaution is to turn off any UPS units that you have connected to computers, TVs, stereos, and the like....not security systems, though.
