Is it okay to place my PC on the carpet?

So I started building my PC. I was originially going to put it on top of my wooden desk but I have other stuff to put there and there wouldn't be enough room to place the PC on top. I can place it under my desk but theres carpet there and I know it's a bad idea to put it on carpet.

If you're concerned about that danger, you might consider a floor mat or a case stand

If your PSU fan is facing down in the case you may want to place a thin board between the PC and the carpet.

The fan is facing up in the case. Will it still matter if you place it on the carpet? Is it okay to put it on top of a Anti-Static bag the motherboards come with? I mean, I think thats why you dont put it on carpet, for anti-static reasons

I would use a thin board , and if you have a ventilation Grill in the case where the PSU is mounted it should be facing down.

good advise,..find a small piece of plywood and paint it a cool color and
put your case on that,..better safe then sorry,..
