so is it okay? or will i have some problems, the reason is because i dont have any screw to screw my gpu near on the i/o shield but im using it rn and its working, however is it safe? or should i do something?
But the screws on the PSU isnt small enough to fit it on the holesIf you're not careful, gpu may fall out of pcie slot, cause short and damage itself and/or motherboard.
Your PSU is fastened by 4 screws. You can use one of those screws to fasten your graphics card.
I've used a paper clip to hold it, is it enough? It stabilizes the GPU , you should have them in.
If it's working and your comfortable using it like that , that's up to you.
Then get a knife and make screw hole larger (or get appropriate size screw). But the screws on the PSU isnt small enough to fit it on the holes
No - paper clip is not enough.I've used a paper clip to hold it, is it enough?
PC screws have been pretty much standard for 30+ years. There is a coarse size (6-32) used for pretty much everything and a finer size (M3) used almost exclusively for optical drives and motherboard standoffs. All IO slots I have ever seen use the more common coarse type.I dont even know what size of screw I should buy, and btw my case is microATX type, does all microATX case have the same size of holes near on the i/o shield ?
