Im not to knowledgeable but ive been wanting to build a computer and a friend made me a system. What im looking for is a machine thats good for school work but can run games with good fps. Anyone know if this machine is good for it?

Umm, that's a beast of a PC. I should handle anything you can throw at it. You will definitely get good FPS and basically anything is good for school. GO FOR IT!!
