is it overclockable?

some people said my computer was good except the motherboard isn't suited for overclocking with my rig

CPU: AMD FX-6300
Cooler: CM Storm Hyper 212
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 w/boost
MB: Gigabyte 970A-D3P
RAM: 8gb Corsair

It is suited for overclocking but not to the extreme. For the same price or less, the Asus M5A97 R2.0 motherboard uses higher quality components for more overclocking headroom.

I have been looking into getting that same chip. I have the M5A97 R2.0. I have been told it is not a good board for overclocking that chip. From what I have learned the M5A99 Pro or Evo would be the minimum choice. You need the 990 chipset because of the FX chips power requirements when overclocking. I do not know what Gigabyte board would work. I like ASUS 😉
