In games it could slightly, potentially, but at that resolution games are going to be blown away by the 980, and you should probably get a new monitor, because that resolution is really low, whereas the 980 is capable of so much more, 4+ times more. You shouldn't worry, but you should think about an upgrade, maybe when Broadwell comes out, or maybe even Skylake, modern CPU's and Motherboards have many advantages over LGA 1156 Motherboards and CPU's, such as Sata-E, More PCI Lanes, and better

I got a great deal from a friend so I just needed to know if there will be any bottleneck
Following on from this, Games like Civ, Battlefield 4 and HL2 (And its derivatives) Will run slower on you're CPU and probably bottleneck, as they are all CPU demanding games (HL2 Is just badly optimised and requires Hal-9000 to run).
