Is it possible that there is too much power coming from my electrical outlets?

Can too much power coming from my outlets cause electronic appliances to malfunction? Such as a washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge, and even a crock pot plugged into the wall? It seems that all of my brand new appliances are malfunctioning electronically. Even my crock pot over boils when it should simmer. And my hand held steamer shoots water out instead of steam. It doesn't do this in another household. Many of my appliances have been repaired multiple times and I'm thinking that this is not a coincidence.

It is possible. You can check with a multi-meter, but in your case you should contact an electrician or your electric company.

More likely though, is that you have a grounding issue.
