Is it possible to check the health of my CPU?

My PC is roughly alittle over 2 years and for several months I've had massive problems with PC performance, both with FPS issues ingame and just using the computer normally.

I'm completely stupid when it comes to PC's as this is my first one and after discovering how to open up a CPU cooler and clean it, I discovered just what was clogging up the cooler and causing overheating which was one thing people had suggested was causing my issues. Now that it's clean-ish, I want to see if I might need to replace it all together or if the issue is stemming from other unseen problem.

The PC is a Pre-built CyberPowerPc from Operating System

The only new parts are the GPU (Original was EVGA Nvidia GTX 760) and PSU ( Original hmw 600w atx power supply model: xg-h600) which I replaced after being recommended to from previous posts in an attempt to find the issue.

For all I know I could've installed the GPU wrong which may be causing the FPS issues but I still want to check on the CPU as everyone seems to think it's the most likely issue.

Try using AMD Overdrive http://www.techspot.com/downloads/4645-amd-overdrive.html and built in benchmark and stability testing along with accurate temperature and other readings.

You cannot install the GPU "wrong". Either it works, or it doesn´t work. And there´s no way to check the health of your CPU (at least not on consumer level).

Stress testing is as close as needed in cases like that. I would show eventual weak core(s) and lack of voltage for instance.

I'm not exactly sure how to use the program or how to properly judge the results from the benchmark and stress test.

If you are looking for a program that when you start it it tells you all's good or bad nothing like that exists.
Stress test will produce BSOD or show errors. Turn on logging before starting, it will show temperatures and voltages during test. Temperatures are shown as margins till throttling and should be higher than 10c.
