Is it possible to cut a hole in the chassis for panels?

Is it possible to cut out a chassis with no side panels out? I have one without panels and if it had it would look extremly good. Has anyone ever done this before and is this recommended?

Do you mean cutting a hole to add a side panel window? If so it is very doable, provided you have the right tools and materials. Plenty of guides out there on how to do it.
