Hey guys!
Im about to buy a 4k monitor and i've heard that stepping the monitor up from a 60hz to a 120 or a 144hz will greatly step up the ¨quality¨ of gaming, so my question is will a gtx 1070 msi gaming x be able to do 4k on a 4k 120hz ? This goes for any games really since i have a wide selection of games. the witcher 3, rome 2, warframe, warthunder, wot, battlefield 4, cod blackops (all) , ashes of singularity, gta v etc,
Thankfull for answers

I think Asus announced a 4k 144Hz monitor, but I don't think any are available yet to purchase. If they are, they will be prohibitively expensive.
If you want high resolution for crisp details and a sharp picture, 4k is good. If you want smooth motion and a competitive edge in twitch shooter games, then 120/144Hz is good. Those two things are at odds with each other, however. You really can't have both. If you want high speed, then you probably don't want high resolution. If you are gaming at 40 FPS, then you don't need 120/144Hz. You will get the most improvement by upgrading your GPU to get 60 FPS and above.

Your GPU is good enough to actually produce a picture on such a screen if it existed, but you will have to cut way back on the...

You might have seen some 120Hz or 240Hz 4k TVs. Those numbers are advertising a very different feature. Those only actually support 60Hz from a computer.

If in the Market for 4K TV make sure you shop for one that has the less input lag, samsung has decent models in respect to that.

This will be critical factor in respect to having the best exp possible.

Some of these sets have gaming modes which address such somewhat while some actually make things worse (not often)

also certain thins like 4/4/4 might be worth googling/looking into first
