Is it possible to downgrade a core i5 with a g4560 processor ?

I was looking for a gaming pc but , I have a core i5 laptop laying on my house. So I thought that if I change my laptop's core i5 processor with G4560 processor. Will it work ?

Laptop and desktop motherboards dont match the pins layout, since mostly they are soldered or different socket layout.
Only some high end laptops, like msi has desktop cpu (pure guess on msi).
