Here's the thing, I got an Itelco Idol from ebay the other day. Cool little device capable of running Windows XP, I got XP on it (needs a bit of work for everything to work) but I've come across a problem, the Itelco is actually two separate 2GB drives, such a bad design.

I installed Windows XP on one of the drives but now I'm out of storage and can't get the drivers to install, is there any way possible to merge the two SSDs together into one 4gb drive?
google is no help been searching for hours
here are the specs of the device:
  • Intel Atom Z500 800MHz
  • 512MB RAM
  • 2x2GB SSDs (4GB total)

Depends on whether or not you can configure your system (pre-Windows install) to a RAID configuration. If you can get into BIOS and set up a RAID0 or JBOD configuration, then install Windows, it could work.

I cant seem to figure out how to access the bios on it
it doesn't have the F keys (F1 to 12) tried with a USB keyboard and F2 and F8 and 10 did nothing
Delete does nothing either.

Apparently that device can accept a micro SD card. You might try installing XP on the SD card instead of the limited internal storage?

possible but im not sure if it would automatically boot off of the sd card or not

Update:
I got a 32gb sandisk sd card into it but it's not detected in Windows installation ?

I read earlier that some of these Atom's came with XP installed. So even though XP is pre Micro SD, there must be a driver for it somewhere.

Don't you see any kind of BIOS splash screen on startup?

I converted both drives into "Dynamic drives" in disk management, is that any good?
it still shows one as 2gb but the second one is unreadable with a red X on it
