Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to get my Windows 11 key from my laptop. I wanted to do a fresh install of windows on my laptop while pretty much formatting the drive and what not. I have some issues which don't seem to fix themselves after "resetting" Windows. The reset was set up as a fresh install but the problems still persist.

Solution
you don't need the key, just install windows again and when you reach screen asking for key, click "I don't have one" and windows install will continue and re activate itself once it gets to desktop.

If win 11 has been on PC before, it can be put on again without needing the key. Windows activation servers will have a record of either your logon or machine.

Solution
Press Windows + R keys to bring up the Run dialog box. Press Ctrl + Shift + Enter after typing "regedit" to launch the Registry Editor with administrative privileges. In the right-side pane, look for the BackupProductKeyDefault key. Your product key ought to be shown in the Data column.

A reinstall in this same laptop incurs no licensing issues.

It will activate itself.

This answers my question, thank you very much!
