[SOLVED] Is it possible to get to update bios with out a cpu on a ASUS z170-ar

My old board died and I had to get a new Z170-ar but now the problem is that my board won’t recognize my cpu (i5-7500) and will not even attempt to turn on. I was just wondering if there is a way to update the bios without having to buy a new 6th gen cpu so the bios will pick it up?

Well thanks I got it because it advertised bios flashback only to find out that it’s not even a real thing

Asus has a program in the BIOS that will flash to the newest BIOS (EZ-Flash 3) however you need to be able to see it to use it. Only a handful of MSI AMD B450 motherboards have the feature to upgrade the BIOS without a CPU (MSI Flash BIOS button).
